State Government in the Federal Fabric
The State governments had unlimited veto power under the ill-conceived government under the Articles of Confederation. A thirteen-headed monster, with a chief executive with no power, this thing starved its Commander-in-Chief in the field, General George Washington, and encouraged Philadelphians to take British gold and permit their occupation of that city, while grim patriots shivered and suffered frostbite and death just miles away at Valley Forge.
So the states gave power to the national Federal Government. But, never did our Founding Fathers intend that they become the powerless vassals that they are today.
We at Hear Us Now USA celebrate our great states, and as part of our twenty year mission to put this nation aright, we will, with your support, track state campaigns from the state senate, assembly, county, locality and school board levels.
BE A PART OF OUR NATIONAL RECOVERY!
