US and Confederate flags to highlight the sanctuary state nullification movement in the USA

The Revolt of

Sanctuary States Violent Clashes with I.C.E. Result of

Permissive Federal Government by James A. Bridge III

Attacks on Immigration & Customs Enforcement officers have climbed to 8 times greater than last year, up from seven times higher just 30 days ago. Democrat agitators along with illegal aliens mount earnest, violent attacks on I.C.E. Officers, most infamously several weeks ago at a California marijuana farm. The vitriol has climbed to near Civil War levels, fed by the national government turning a blind eye to the sanctuary movement and its dangerous nullification doctrine. Should you check our accompanying article on nullification (hearusnowusa.com/nullification) if you don't know the history, thirty years after its drumbeats, its fiercest proponent fired its cannon at Fort Sumter. Similarly, we have a generation of converts to the idea that doing whatever one wants is an inviolable constitutional right. This group of mostly young people are fearlessly violent and destructive, knowing that the judicial system probably will look kindly upon their actions. They believe their political party leadership's insistence upon illegal alien amnesty is gospel. And, of course, this younger population adores seeing themselves on social media. Clashes with I.C.E. are not limited to alleged Soros-funded mobs; Congresswoman Lamonica Mcgiver was recently charged with accosting I.C.E. agents during a surprise “oversight” visit at a Newark, NJ I.C.E. holding facility. California Senator Alex Padilla was wrestled to the ground after storming a Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem June 12th press conference in Los Angeles, claiming again “oversight” rights of Congress. Democrats are sponsoring this type of political theater everywhere. Sitting in at I.C.E. offices, playing guitar on sidewalks and chanting, and even in the case of big-city mayors in Chicago and Los Angeles, publicly challenging I.C.E. not to work with them as they round up illegal aliens.
While there are many “sanctuary jurisdicticons” in the United States, there are only thirteen “sanctuary states.” These states and jurisdictions thumb their noses at the Federal Government's mission to protect and enforce our borders. They have put into practice legislation that walks in the footsteps of John C. Calhoun and Henry Clay—they have embraced a policy of nullification. These states are the following, with the state bill sponsor and state party chair: 1. California: Kevin DeLeon; Eric C. Bauman; 2017 2. Colorado: Sen. John Tate, Rep. Daniel Nordberg; 2017 3. Connecticut: Gary Holder-Winfield; Nancy Wyman, 2019 4. Illinois: Sen. Don Harmon, Rep. Chris Welch; Michael Madigan, 2017 5. Massachusetts: Sen. Jamie Eldridge, Rep. Juana Matías; 2017 6. New Jersey: Governor Phil Murphy, Executive Order; 2018 7. New York: Asm. Linda Rosenthal; 2017 8. North Dakota: Sen. Michelle Axtman, Rep. Emily O'Brien 9. Oregon: Sen. Jane Cease; 1987 10. Rhode Island: Rep. Shelby Maldonado, Sen. Ana Quezada; 2019 11. Utah: Sen. Luz Escamilla; 2019 12. Vermont: Rep. David Zuckerman; 2007 13. Washington State: Sen. Pramila Jayapal; 2015 These are the people who led their states to turn a blind eye to illegal immigrants and to defy federal authorities in the prosecution of their sworn offices. These states—and their sponsoring legislators—are in revolt from Federal Authority. The lack of legal challenges to these states and politicians has greatly emboldened their citizens. All we need do now is watch the television to see which city is obstructing I.C.E. agents next. This nullification path only leads to more violence, and will lead to countless more deaths and imprisonments. In the case of South Carolina and its war against President Jackson's tariffs, the pervasiveness of the idea of simply blowing off the Federal Government led to an intransigent mindset and, with popular pressure mounting in the South, to the Civil War. The Trump Administration has recently filed lawsuits against so-called Sanctuary jurisdictions, citing the Constitution's Supremacy Clause. We shall see what the courts have to say about it this time. I.C.E. Director Tom Homan has claimed that 'sanctuary cities' are sanctuaries for criminals. And he is not wrong. Crime rates are down since the Trump Administration has taken over. And, let's face it: every 'illegal' alien in the United States is here 'illegally'. End of argument. Therefore, every sanctuary jurisdiction is both an affront to the Supremacy of the United States Constitution and an act of defiance and insurrection. Maintaining a protected criminal class inside a country is like feeding a cancer instead of funding research to combat it. Look at the EU; nation after nation is desperate for political chemotherapy to save themselves. Let's not permit such a future for the United States of America.
