Psst...President Erdogan?

...might soon be

Turkey Season

by James A. Bridge III

Let's paint the bullseye on the chest of a former loyal ally. Don't be sad, nor hang your heads, you. As an increasingly vitriolic foe of Israel (and by extension the West), he has fully earned it.
Turkish President Recep Erdogan
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a Turk. He is a Muslim, as is almost everyone else in Turkey. Born into the working-class Kasimpasa neighborhood of Istanbul in 1954. He is the man who rolled the Islam-bomb under the EU bus in 2015 (hearusnowusa.com/Islam-bomb).
He led a constitutional referendum to alter the Turkish constitution from a parliamentary to a republican form of government, creating a powerful executive at the government's head, in 2017. He calls for the Islamic world to hearken to him as the true leader of Muslim world, now that Ayatollah Khamenei has been Midnight Hammer-ed into a ghost. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is also the President of Turkey. Turkey is a NATO country, and has the most populous military in NATO after the United States. It also houses 50-ish B61 nuclear bombs at the Incirlik United States-controlled airbase. After its enthusiastic support of the West vs. North Korea and China during the Korean War, and especially because of its soldiers' displays of battle valor, NATO was thrilled to add Turkey to the post-WWII family of rebuilding nations. Its geographic control of both sides of the Bosporus, throttling entrance to the Black Sea and potentially bottling up the Soviet Navy were all factors in its admission, but its proximity to Moscow and within range of NATO's nuclear missiles was the killer. (jupiter-nuke) The Soviet Union had earned the positioning of the Jupiters in Turkey because of the its creation of the East Bloc (“The History of the Soviet Union” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S3d8EhHy74) and support of North Korea in its amazing overrunning of the Korean Peninsula in 1950. (Watch this compelling video of the Korean War==> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoZexC7M4hM). The Soviets under the Direction of Nikita Kruschev returned the favor by putting their own nuclear missiles in Cuba, precipitation the Cuban Missile Crisis. (Should you ever visit Boston, Massachusetts, the Kennedy Library has an awesome room dedicated to the Cuban Missile Crisis—must see!) But that was then. This is now.

Now, there is no longer a Soviet Union. The Jupiter missiles were removed, but 50 or so B61 nuclear bombs remain at Incirlit Air Base. Oh, yes, there is the Russian initiative in the Ukraine, but no one is talking about this: the fact that Russia is simply trying to undo the Obama-era coup d' etat that toppled the pro-Russian government of the Ukraine—the so-called “Euromaidan Revolution”--from November 2013 to February 2014. The most obviously EU-Obama led insurrection forcibly returned Ukraine to the embrace of the West, undoing Putin's carefully maneuvering to return a pro-Russian government to the Ukraine and to feast on the shale-oil fracking fields. Many said at the time that the move was all about keeping the fracking fields of the Ukraine in the European sphere and market. The Vice President's son, Hunter Biden, became a Burisma—Ukrainian energy research company—board member after the Revolution, from 2014-2019. Strangely, no media outlets are reporting this connection at all, even with the revelations of the Biden family's energy business dealings in the region. The term “Euromaidan” has not been reported as the Ukraine-Russian War flames on; instead, we hear and read of Putin attempting to resurrect the former Soviet Union, all of which gins up a sympathetic reaction in the West, suffering clearly from short-term-memory loss. So, here is the world situation: Russia and Turkey find each other in bed with each other. Why? We must further unfurl the artichoke to get at the heart of the matter. As you might have read already in our story hearusnowusa.com/Islam-bomb, Erdoğan and his Foreign Minister tool at the time, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, a Ph.D. in Population Migration, lit a fuse of a bomb under the EU by unleashing Turkey's camp immigrants upon Europe. Now, ten years in, Europe trembles under the weight of this unwanted minority that has spiked crime rates through the roof in European nations. Since Erdoğan sent millions walking, swimming and riding into Europe in 2015, sexual attacks have risen nearly 150% to the moment. Putin, ever the savvy politico, knows full well the extent of unrest in Europe on the nexus of a rising, implacable cultural enemy in its midst. As Erdoğan continues to align himself with Russia, he brings his Islamic warrior sabre-rattling to the fray. The EU, after all, is funding the defense of the Ukraine. Erdoğan stands in Islam's bully pulpit as a nuke-toting NATO member-state. All Putin has to do is to ask Erdogan to rock the boat a bit.
And haven't we seen that boat rocking throughout Europe? What pull does Erdoğan have over the world of Muslims? He has filled stadiums with 10s of thousands to address “Turks Abroad”, and his messages in 2011 Düsseldorf and in 2014 in Cologne, 2014 — Erdoğan addressed a crowd of around 20,000 people, telling Turkish immigrants “assimilation is a crime against humanity...teach your children Turkish before German...integrate, but do not assimilate.” What has he done to impress publicly, his bona fides, with the Islamic world? Isn't he just the lick-spittle of the West in their eyes, with its NATO membership? Well, he has stuck his chin out on the issue of his inner Islamism, and went to jail for his beliefs. In December 1997, while serving as mayor of Istanbul, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recited lines from a poem by Ziya Gökalp (an influential early 20th-century Turkish nationalist and Islamist thinker) at a rally in Siirt. He read the following:
“The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, and the faithful our soldiers.”
He was found guilty of inciting religious strife and served four months of a 10 month sentence. Erdoğan had studied at an imam-hatip Islamic high school, then completed a business/management degree at Marmara University in 1981, which laid the foundation for his early political career. That poem recitation was nearly 20 years after his time at imam-hatip religious school. Clearly, his religious convictions ran—have run—and run deep. So, flush in the joy of urging a million people westward into Europe after the EU denied Turkey's special visa request, Erdoğan watched we are sure with joy as borders were trampled and security checkpoints overrun. Then, a year in to this continuous flow of Muslim immigrants into Europe, there some members of the military rose up. This mysterious coup attempt in 2016 against him unleashed perhaps because of his Islam-bomb on the EU—a million and counting refugees—for denying Turkey's membership request in 2015. (hearusnowusa.com/Islam-bomb; look at the following two graphics there. They will tell you everything about the impact of Turkey's Islam-bomb on Europe.) The coup failed, and Erdoğan took full advantage of the aftermath.
There is no longer a Soviet Union. The Jupiter missiles were removed after the Cuban Missile Crisis, but 50 or so B61 nuclear bombs remain at Incirlit Air Base.
B61 nuclear bomb
Erdoğan is now emboldened by the apparent abdication of the Ayatollah Khamenei as the mouthpiece for the Muslim march against Israel and the West, and empowered in the wake of the failed “Peace at Home” military coup attempt and the constitutional reforms that followed. Most alarming are Erdoğan's sabre-rattling statements in the aftermath of the stunning October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on the Jewish State. That attack killed more Jews in one day than in any day since the Holocaust of Nazi Germany. (Watch “We Will Dance Again”) Just in the last week, Turkey has shut down all truck with Israel. These accusations of Israel committing genocide against the Palestinians in the wake of the October 7 atrocities have occurred within weeks of the Hamas attack, and have continued with some regularity until this ultimate act against Israel. Israel is the closest ally of the United States of America.
Erdogan's anti-Israel pipe dreams becoming real

Here is a list of Erdoğan's verbal attacks on Israel, leading up to Friday's shocking announcement: *On Oct 25, 2023, in Ankara, Erdoğan declared Hamas “not terrorist” but a “resistance group.” *In Oct 2023, on the Gaza war, Erdoğan called Israeli actions “genocide,” Israel a “terror/occupier state.” *On Nov 15, 2023, in Ankara, Erdoğan again called Israel a “terror state,” committing “war crimes.” *On Nov 28, 2023, in a call with UN chief Guterres, Erdoğan told Guterres that Israel must be tried as a “terror state,” committing “genocide.” *Erdoğan repeated on May 13, 2024 in conversation with Greek PM, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Erdoğan asserted that Hamas is a resistance movement, not a terrorist movement. *On July 29, 2024, he made remarks comparing Netanyahu to Hitler, calling him “genocidal.” Erdoğan is firmly on the side of Hamas in the Hamas Israel war, and his voice threatens the internal relations of NATO member states. EU Muslims, and even some EU leaders, have an ear to the rail that leads to Erdoğan. We have seen President Erdoğan's true colors. So now, with the air-traffic and port closures Erdoğan has announced, it is time for the President of the United States to shake Erdoğan out of his pipe dream of shouldering minarets as bayonets on Islamic soldiers, as in the poem he recited that once upon a time in a Turkey that then could get someone jailed. Like himself. Or, perhaps more fittingly, time has come for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey's Emperor Augustus, to wander out to the fig trees, pluck and eat one. Like the one Livia painted with poison for him. We must begin to take Erdoğan at his word regarding Israel, and, frankly, about anything else. Just as President Trump and Bibi Netanyahu did with Iran's Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei. President Erdoğan could take a peek at the Bible, Hosea 8:7 “...for they have sown the wind, and they shall inherit the whirlwind.”
Yes, I know, then there is that Quran citation, 2:191--"...kill the unbeliever wherever you find him." Erdoğan has certainly been about his sowing: sowing discord among NATO members; and fomenting Hamas on the world stage. At home, he has arrested his most politically dangerous rival, Ekrem Imamoglu, for allegations of corruption of corruption and terror ties as mayor of Istanbul. Imamoglu is a businessman, and the former head of the secular Republican People's Party—hardly a Islamist's resume. Clearly, President Erdoğan is feeling his oats, and is in full display. One feels compelled to ask, President Erdoğan, do you not feel that change in the air? Around these parts, that tells you that it must soon be turkey season.
